Pantone Color 2018 is Ultra Violet
How to incorporate 2018 hottest color into your wedding
Pantone have announced that Ultra Violet is their Color 2018, and it’s a gorgeous bright purple hue that works perfectly as an accent to your wedding scheme.
While we love a classic wedding in neutral hues, there’s something about a wedding that embraces color that always makes us smile, and Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year is definitely, well, colorful.
When it comes to wedding colors, there’s purple, and then there’s purple—or should we say Ultra Violet, Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2018. As a vibrant departure from Greenery (2017’s fresh and organic Color of the Year), Ultra Violet is a deep, blue-based purple—darker than lavender, cooler than plum, but brighter than eggplant—with cosmic undertones to evoke “originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.”
As Ultra Violet takes center stage as Pantone Color 2018, here’s how to work it into all your wedding details.
We would suggest flowers are the way to include Ultra Violet into a wedding. It makes a more sophisticated look, rather than a full explosion of purple which could be too much. Less is more, but you can play with various hues of purple and lilac, and don’t forget to blend in with whites/creams and touches of greenery.
